INPS provided operational instructions for the social contribution relief granted to employers who signed a local collective bargaining agreement inclusive of work-life balance measures. The request of admission to the benefit will have to be submitted by 15 September 2018.

The guarantor authority for privacy concerns has acknowledged the unlawfulness of the treatment of personal data gathered via a geolocation system applied on company cars granted to employees and requested an update of the system, offering an interpretation of local regulations in accordance with the GDPR.

Although the GDPR endeavors to consider the specific situation of micro, small and medium-sized companies, the exception on the obligation to keep a register of treatment activities is only “apparent” and, in fact, almost unavoidable also for companies and organizations with less than 250 employees.
