Expansion agreement

On the 29th of June, 2019, new regulations on expansion agreements, aimed at facilitating reindustrialization and reorganization processes for companies with a headcount of more than 1000 employees via the early retirement of employees and the reduction of working hours. Usage of this agreement also implies the adoption of a plan for new hires with permanent employment contracts and training programs.
New regulations on “historical brands”

The “Decreto Crescita” introduced specific regulations for the protection of historical brands, with the introduction of a specific record, the logo “historical brand of national interest” and a specific fund for the protection of occupational levels and for favoring production on the national territory.
Conversion into law of tax regulations on “impatriates”

With conversion into law of Law Decree no. 34/2019, the new taxation regimen for “impatriates”, applicable from 2020 onwards, is definitively effective. If the “impatriate” subject is not enrolled at AIRE, the requisite of residency abroad may be proven according to criteria set by bilateral agreements against double taxation.
