Not only private subjects, but also vast public areas that see in personal data not only a tool for surveillance, but also a powerful tool to steer the choices of many.
Under this perspective, personal data must be considered the “expression of a right” worthy of protection (the European Regulation itself defines it a “fundamental” right) but also an “economic resource” in a context increasingly controlled according to criteria that not always (almost never) keep individual freedom in due consideration…”
